Buckingham Palace is the residence of the British Royal Family. The palace was built in the beginning of the 18th century and since the middle of the 19th century has served as the city home of the Royal Family.
Visitors at the palace can view twenty of the 661 rooms. The guided tour goes through these rooms and presents mainly ballrooms and guard rooms. The ceremony of the changing of the royal guards takes place at the front of the palace at 11:30 am each day apart from winter. You should check in advance in winter when the changing of the guards is taking place.
