Périgueux is a beautiful and atmospheric town, built out of spectacular white limestone. It has a cathedral, an amphitheater, a Gallo-Roman wall and a museum to keep you occupied, as well as a labyrinth of narrow streets and restaurants to introduce you to the local food.
