The Camargue (in classical norm or Camargo in Mistralian norm) is
located south of Arles, France, between the Mediterranean Sea and the two arms
of the Rhône River delta. The eastern arm is called the Grand Rhône; the western
one is the Petit Rhône (...) (from Wikipedia).
The fields and wetlands of the Camargue come as quite a surprise after the dry and fragrant landscape of the rest of the Provence. The enthusiasm for bullfighting may also be unexpected. Europe’s only cowboys work and play here, so look out for white horses and black fighting bulls.
