Day 38: 18th August (Italy)
Left Aprica and drove through mountains towards Colico on the north shore of Lake Como. Drove down the west side of Lake Como - the scenery was amazing with mountains meeting lakes and blue/green water. The road was very busy and narrow so there were some hair raising encounters with buses/motorbikes and many near misses! Got to ferry at Lavenno-Mobello with 3 mins to spare and they still got us on the boat to cross to the other side of Lake Maggiore. Then we drove up the west side of Lake Maggiore to Cannero-Rivierra to meet the Mills and Roses. Lovely campsite with  a promenade and beach all the way to the little town. All jumped in the lake for a swim. Had tea with the Mills/Roses. Kids playing on paddle boards, jumping off the jetty, played volleyball. Lush.
