 | Day 1 20th June, Thursday...Leave Faucon early to drive to Riez. This is a place on the way to Milan in the Verdon Gorge. We should arrive by lunch time giving us time to explore the area in the afternoon.
Firstly settle in at Riez and visit the village here, then time permitting visit the village of Mousitiers saint Maria. Set off early next day to drive along the verdon gorge.
Depart for Milan 21st June...on the way to Milan follow this route to get a good look at the gorge on the way through. So ensure an early start.
Travel east to Moustiers Ste Marie on the D952, stopping if we didn't get to see it yesterday. Then head south on the D952 which changes to D957 going to Aiguines. Stop here for a look. Continue onto the D71 going through the tunnel of du Fayet and stopping at Pont de lArtuby and then again at Balcons de la Mescla. Again, continue north east on the D71, turning left onto D90 on the way to Trigance. Head north on the D955 which changes to D952 to Castellane.
